In 2011, my friend Barbara was in a horrific car accident caused by a drunk driver hitting her car head-on, going 100 miles per hour. As a result of the accident, Barbara's husband and the drunk driver were killed instantly. Barbara broke several bones in her body and was in a coma for a while.
